I got my system built yesterday. I still have a little ways to go (sound card) etc, but overall its done. I played WoW on it for the first time. This time, however, i was able to turn the details all the way up. The game actually looks stunning in hi res. I ran a stable 64 fps at 1152x864. All details on high with 4x AA. This is in Orgrimmar as well. If you play you know its usually a lag fest in there because of the number of players being drawn. Needless to say I was impressed. Next test will be Vegas.
System specs
Intel E6600 Core 2 Duo
ASUS P4W DH Deluxe Motherboard (this bitch is da bomb)
XFX 7900GS Extreme 256MB
1 GIG Ballistix DDR2 PC6400 Memory
2x Western Digital 160GB HD's with 16MB cache
ASUS DVDROM
Samsung DVDRAM drive
Mitsumi Floppy/7in1 flash card reader Combo
Antec 1050B case with Neo550 PS.
Adding my SB AUdigy2 ZS from my old Rig.
A tip I have for anyone installing windows.
DO NOT activate until AFTER you have installed all drivers and devices.
This particular motherboard has 3 Network cards on it. 1 wireless, 2 wired. As a result windows seems to get confused as to which one is the primary when it comes to activation for hardware locking. I essentially had to call MS to get my machine reactivated after Installing the drivers for the video card. I had also switched the Ethernet plugs. I don't know how it decides which is primary. Eitherway, its a major annoyance to have to bother with this.
