When I try to open MS Internet explorer on my pharmacy workstation here... I'm getting an error.

IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

:confused:

Is it something in the registry that got messed up? Any pointers on how to fix this?

Sounds like either a registry bomb or something in the IE app got hosed. Either way you could prolly fix it simply by re-installing it.

Here's a link (http://www.mozilla.com/) for a different fix tho. :)

Can you roll back to a boot date where it was working?

If not you can try the following.

Delete the following registry key from your system, make sure to export/save it first.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\RPCKDM]

If it is on your machine it may look similar to this -

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\RPCKDM]
"data2"=hex:92,99,76,8f,44,7e,07,0b,0e,7e,79,0d,7e,12,06, 08,0a,09,12,0b,7a,0b,\
7a,12,7e,07,7a,0e,12,7e,08,0f,0b,07,0f,08,0e,06,7d ,0c,0b,42
"data1"=hex:92,b8,b1,05,7d,7d,6d,75,78,75,7c,6c

Seems to be some web sites that have links which cause IE to crash. After the crash you will get the app failing when trying to launch IE.

Did a quick Google and found this (http://www.writingup.com/stevemdfp/bill_gates_is_the_devil_0xc0000005).
