Gentlemen and those of you who are not so yet refined,
Thank you very much for the votes of confidence. I am kind of excited and curious. I know from just hanging out on the server and reading and posting on the boards I am going to learn a lot from you guys. Since this is my first venture in online gaming and a community of gamers I ask for your patience on things that may be new to me. I listen well and if there is anything that I need to be told, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Sincerely,
Jason Pope

and..., since you asked to be told. :D
HiFi Entry Process Phase 1
1) Take a poll from the team on their favorite beers.
2) Buy a 6-pack of each.
3) Get all team member addys.
4) Send/mail out in refrigerated containers (no warm beer).
Relax, phase 1 of your team entry process is over.
Note - there will be rank points awarded for alternates such as scotch, whiskey, etc.
OK, Just kidding man. Welcome aboard and have some fun. That's what it is about.

Thanks Evil. I hope you enjoy the warm case of Hams that is coming your way. I got your address from TC, where do they let you drink beer in Leavenworth? :)
You and I are both on 56k, anything you can reccomend that I do to tweak my settings to maximize what I have. I always connect at 52kbps if that helps.
Thanks Again

Evil drinks Hamm's? Huh.
...I had him pegged as a strict Nyquil quaffer myself. :D
I prefer Sleeman's Creme Ale if you can get yer hands on it. If not, Molson Canadian in bottles works well too. :)

Hey GRUNT! Congrats!!! I guess, because I am the new member of the team as well as you are, and I am also new to online gaming, actually this is my first online game that I play with other people, unbelievable for other team members probably, but not for you and me ;). you know interesting point that you've made, and that I should have also tell other team members is, as I am also new to this, I will be listening and learning from other team members. And of course, little patients (especially with my BC :)).
But to tell you the truth (maybe it's because I am not used to it), but actually it bothers me talking to others and playing !!! I can't concentrate on the game - hearing two different sounds, from the game and somebody else talking; it's like having my younger brother over my head while I'm playing and telling me: " go left, go right, shoot now..." etc. I would kill him! Usually I loose when he's talking. So, guys, you have to forgive me if I don't find BC ....er..... usefull.
Sorry,
Anyways, welcome once again, and be ready for the shootout.

Majki,
It takes time. SOme people fall right into it, others have to listen for a while, others use it only on occasion. To be quite honest its something that we require for match play. Plus you will find its good for learning once you get accustomed to it. If you ever get tired of someone giving you directions just pipe up and ask them to be quiet you can't hear. I never have problems doing that :D

Majki, you may find it useful to turn the playback volume down some so it doesn't drown out the game sounds. I tell ya, it may be a pain to start with but you'll find it quite useful when it comes time to coordinate with others during match play. Nobody's gonna have time to type...

no i dont drink hamms, what the heck is hamms? is that a beer? hehe
the leavenworth addy is a bad thing, dont send anything to it as they will then invetigate the sending address, hehe :D
as far as BC required for match play, i thought that was game by game. seeing as some games absolutely require it and others can be played without it. no biggie, as the ISDN line should take care of that little problem anyways.

Evil, you mean you've never heard of Hamm's Beer???
"From the Land of Sky Blue Waters (Waters),
From the land of pines, lofty balsam,
Comes the beer refreshing,
Hamm's the Beer Refreshing".

Is it an east coast thing?
The label looks a little familiar but I cant say as I have ever tasted it. Is it good?
Personally I cant drink most of the american beers. After just a short time in Germany I was hooked on GREAT beers.
I do drink 'shiner' (a good texas beer) and a couple of other microbrews made here, mainly hefeweizen (sp?) though.

Can't say I have ever heard of Shinner. Hamms has got to be one of the worst out there. Right up there with China Light and Beast. I can't believe Gramps knew the song.
