I always wondered about that myself given the amount of damage done by the one that hit the twin towers you'd expect similar damage to the pentagon. I'm willing to bet the other plane was shot down.

Looking at the pics its hard to believe it was an airplane. But if it was a truck/car bomb that would be more scary. The damage doesnt appear right thats for sure.

If they did shoot it down though, where is the wreckage?
